About veronica

Veronica Delgado is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR). She attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE) and earned a Master of Arts in Art Therapy Counseling and has experience working with adults, teenagers, and families.  Veronica has special experience and expertise helping persons struggling with eating disorders, trauma and attachment disorders, multicultural counseling, and counseling special populations, as well as things like anxiety, depression, and more.  Also, Veronica speaks English and Spanish fluently, and is able to work with native speakers of each language.

Intuitive and genuine, Veronica strives to make clients and their loved ones feel comfortable, safe, and seen. Her therapeutic approach emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and safety, and includes elements of psychodynamic, feminist, sociocultural, and person-centered therapeutic frameworks.  These tools help clients to experience and understand their internal and external worlds on a journey towards healing and wellness, aided by the counselor as an empathic witness and fellow sojourner. Veronica is particularly interested in working with people healing from trauma, as well as those who are engaged in social justice and activism work.

From Veronica:

“Most people arrive at their first therapy appointments uncertain of what to expect.  From my point of view, our initial goals are simple, but vitally important — to form a trusting, collaborative relationship, and to use that stable base as a means by which we explore.  From there, fear of judgment diminishes and understanding blossoms!  The clearer we see, the more you feel understood, the more real insight and real change become possible.   We are on our way to a transformative experience!  Healing is just around the corner.”

And both of them remained floating in an empty universe where the only everyday and eternal reality was love.
