Danielle Silver, MA, PLPC
Danielle Silver is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC under supervision) in the State of Missouri. She holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Lindenwood University. Danielle has provided clinical care in a wide variety of settings, including her work in agency-based, in-home, residential, and outpatient environments. In particular, she has experience working with persons struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse/dependence, co-occurring disorders, trauma, eating disorders, life transitions, family violence and parent/child relationships, and LGBTQ+–persons and concerns. Danielle also serves as Director of Community Engagement, meaning it’s her job to interface with organizations in our community needing support or connection, as well as to facilitate our internal sense of community and engagement among staff.
Danielle exudes passion and creativity in forming dynamic client relationships, and provides both support and challenge as clients build the necessary self-awareness for lasting and powerful change. By cultivating nurturing and compassionate therapeutic space, she partners with clients to co-create an experience of honesty, validation, and acknowledgment of both struggles and successes.
From Danielle:
“I’m struck by the whimsical, flowy movement that happens in each conscious being, particularly visible in therapeutic work. Even in my own personal therapeutic process and professional growth, it can allow for the possibility of being continuously mindful, self-developing, and reflective. This kind of movement is necessary for you and me alike because we live in a world of our own experiences, memories, emotions, and reactions, and it is in that world that we diminish or flourish. My hope is to nurture and guide you as we uncover anything that stands in the way of your flourishing, including the sometimes deep and delicate wounds that require care and intention to heal. Counseling is not an end, but a beginning, to a new way of seeing and relating to self and others. It can even be a beginning to a new way of living.”
