about gale

Gale Risse earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis (UMSL) and has experience working in substance abuse counseling for individuals in the US Federal Probation system.
Through her work in the mental health field and otherwise, Gale has strengthened her ability to be of help during challenging times. She has a passion for creating an environment where others can feel accepted and appreciated. Gale functions in the role of Client Liaison for Change, Inc., meaning she serves as a primary contact point for new and incoming clients, as well as established and returning clients. She provides not only warm and empathic client reception and care, but also to screening and placement assistance to make sure our clients are matched with the correct skilled therapist. Equally importantly, this role entails providing administrative, scheduling, and billing support throughout the duration of treatment.
In her free time, Gale enjoys making pottery, attending live music shows, and playing with her cat.
From Gale:
“It is my passion to listen with empathy, speak with authenticity, and lead with love. I recognize that starting therapy can often be an overwhelming process. It is my goal to ease that discomfort as much as possible in order to encourage individuals to begin their healing journey. We have an amazing team of clinicians here at Change Inc. and I can’t wait to help you get started!”
