From Liz:

“I once had a counselor say to me ‘you don’t get into this profession unless you’ve been through hard times,’ and in a moment when I felt isolated and alone, those words were incredibly meaningful and ultimately life-changing for me. I’m here because I have had hard moments in my life (like all humans!) and I want to use what I’ve learned through those experiences and how I’ve grown, both professionally and personally, to help others find their way through the dark experiences of life.  You’re not alone — I will help you!”

“It’s choice that makes us human.”
