climb your everest: an evening with sara safari

In April of 2015, Sara Safari was climbing to the summit of Mount Everest, the highest point in the world, to plant a flag for Empower Nepal Girls.   As she proceeded the last few meters of the climb through the most dangerous part of the ascent — the infamous Khumbu Icefall — a devastating earthquake rocked Nepal, killing more than 10,000 people, leaving more than 100,000 children without homes, and completely destroying Everest Base Camp.

On March 9, 2020, in honor of International Women's Day 2020, Sara will tell her story in St. Louis.
