Wasma Aliya (pronounced “Vasma”) is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC under supervision) in Missouri. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology with honors from Pittsburg State University. Wasma has experience working with adolescents, university students, and adults on a wide variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, burnout, time management, ADHD, loneliness, low self-esteem, homesickness, family problems, and more.

Wasma’s natural warmth and strength creates a safe space for clients, full of unconditional positive regard and acceptance, meaning clients become free to not only understand and process their pasts, but also to befriend the feelings associated with it and to identify how previous experiences impact their current beliefs and actions.  In time, clients come to radical acceptance of themselves and their pasts, paving the way for a commitment to making changes that help them become their best selves.
