zo talkin,
LMSW
Zo Talkin is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Missouri and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. They have interest and experience supporting adolescents and adults with a wide variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma and post traumatic stress (PTSD), grief, substance use, attachment, and body image and eating disorders. As a queer clinician, Zo brings an affirming approach to working with persons surrounding LGBTQIA+ identity exploration, and they are particularly drawn to persons experiencing transition – launching into adulthood, navigating career shifts, or adjusting to change – as well as those feeling stuck in painful emotions, thought loops, or behavioral patterns that no longer serve them.
Zo’s natural warmth and empathetic presence is disarming and immensely supportive. Clients feel compassionately challenged and held at the same time, resulting in a true sense of empowerment toward healing, liberation, and growth. Clients feel naturally supported to find their way through difficulty to real insight, which in time leads to a sense of reclaimed agency and an ability to explore new ways of being.
From Zo:
“I know how hard it can be to show up for yourself when it feels like the planet is on fire and yet somehow still asking you for more. I’m here to help you think critically about the world and your place within it, and I’ll have your back when things get messy. My goal is to help you look inward so you can live in better alignment with your values and purpose. Together, we’ll build the self-acceptance, resilience, and skills to navigate whatever life hands you.”
